mass. southern vermont where the change over doesn't happen until late in the day. eventually everyone sees that change over to rain and then comes to an end on late tuesday evening. how much snow we get total depends on when that change over happens. we've got a lot of different opinions on when that happens were one of out computer models, normally is s fairly reliable. this is mostly a snow event, it sates and change over happens late in the day, could mean 4, 5, 6 inches across the boston area, southern vermont, where the change over may not happen at all. that could see up to a foot or maybe more. that's one possibility. here's another possibility. our european model forecast also usually fairly reliable in the wintertime. this saying just the opposite. this one saying mainly a rain event. that the snow will be only briefly tuesday morning, in that case, 1 to 2 inches in boston. only about to 4 inches in southern vermont.
8:28 am
considering the ground is really warm after recent record temperatures and that the water temperatures are still warm and on shore wind, i am going with the lower estimates there. i think maybe 1 to 2 inches of snow briefly in the boston area on tuesday morning before quickly changing over. i do think areas best of 128, likely the first plowable snow of the season. peaks of sunshine here and there this afternoon. easily see a few more 60s across the map. that will be brief. tomorrow much colder. mid 20s tuesday morning. warming up to about 40 tuesday afternoon. snow changing over to rain, the question is how quickly will that happen? stay tuned we'll be updating that forecast a lot in the next couple of days. >> eric: if you're stuck inside you might want to check at your cell phone bill. you might have money coming your
